The Hopedale High School Alumni Association has announced a program for 2019 that will award more than $85,000 in college scholarships to Class of 2019 and Class of 2018 Hopedale High students. Alumni Board member Janet Ellis of Hopedale listed Association Scholarships that come from donations; Horne Memorial Scholarships funded by a bequest from Glendon and Dorothy (Dutcher) Horne; Private Scholarships provided by family members and friends in honor of loved ones; and Class Reunion Scholarships. More than 30 scholarships, ranging from several hundred to $5,000, will be given.
Mrs. Ellis added that students must apply for scholarships not later than April 1, 2019. Applications received after April 1st will not be considered. Applications and information will be available in late December from the Junior-Senior High School Guidance Department, the school’s website, or the Alumni website hopedale-alumni.org.
