The Ashland Business Association (ABA) launched its new website, www.ashlandbusinessassociation.com, in September. The website, in addition to an updated look, has increased functionality for its growing membership and will serve as a portal for the greater Ashland business community of nearly 600 registered businesses.
“ABA members will now have their own micro site within the ABA website, where they can post images, videos, offers, events and other customizable content” Alan MacIntosh, CEO of Bay State Support, said. MacIntosh, the ABA webmaster and a new businesses owner, developed the interactive site over the past few months.
“ABA members get a customizable webpage, which can supplement and help drive traffic to their business website if they have one and can be the website for a small business that doesn’t have one,” MacIntosh said. “This type of responsive website and promotional opportunity is just another great value that members get for their $75 per year ABA membership.”
The new ABA website intends to be a portal for all of the town’s businesses and community organizations. “Creating an economically vibrant community requires an easy connection between businesses and customers,” Alex Carleton, ABA president, said. “This new website will make it much easier for residents to easily find services and products. It will give residents one place to see event listings and special offers.”
Next ABA Meeting
The next ABA meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Ashland Library, Community Room, 66 Front St. The public is invited to attend. Sheldon Prenovitz, president of Administrative Business Resources, will discuss “Health Insurance Options for Small Businesses.” Prenovitz will address such questions as: How does the Affordable Care Act affect my business? As small business, do I have to offer health insurance to my employees? How much is it going to cost and who pays for it?
