Ashland residents will have an opportunity to meet and question the candidates for town offices at two moderated forums, Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30, 7:00 p.m., at the Ashland Library, Schiesske Community Room, 66 Front St. All residents are invited to attend.

At the time of this writing, Adam J. Elbirt, Joseph J. Magnani, Jr., and Brandi E. Kinsman have submitted certified nomination papers for Board of Selectmen and are vying for two seats. Other candidates who have submitted certified nomination papers are Adam B. Shuster for Moderator, Paul H. Kendall for School Committee and Bonnie Mitchell for Library Trustee.
In the coming months the Board of Selectmen will move forward the downtown redesign, Pond Street/Rt. 126 redevelopment, the Riverwalk and Upper Charles Trail projects and working with the town manager to determine the process for selecting a new police chief.
All nomination papers must be filed with the Town Clerk on or before Tuesday April 2, at 5 p.m. Town elections will be held Tuesday, May 21, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Ashland High School Auditorium.
