A bullet journal and a pen will be provided for each participant. Space is limited to 15 participants. Contact us at 508-634-2209 to sign up.

Ongoing Monthly
Library Events
Helen Symonds
Book Group
The Helen Symonds Book Group meets in the Library Program Room at 1:00 pm on the first Wednesday of every month. Everyone is welcome to join the group. Please call the library at (508)634-2209 to request a copy of the discussion book.
This month, the group will discuss The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey on Wednesday, November 6th at 1:00 pm. “Alaska in the 1920s is a difficult place for Jack and Mabel. Drifting apart, the childless couple discover Faina, a young girl living alone in the wilderness. Soon, Jack and Mabel come to love Faina as their own. But when they learn a surprising truth about the girl, their lives change in profound ways.”-- adapted from C/W MARS catalog
What would you like to read in December? Bring your ideas and the group will choose a title at this month’s meeting.

Cookbook Club
Pumpkins, colorful mums and falling leaves mark my favorite time of year. Snuggly sweaters, wool socks, family and friends to enjoy a football game (watching not playing!). Let the season of overeating begin!
Please join us on Monday, Nov 25th at 6:30 pm when the Cookbook Club will kick off the busy eating season by celebrating the first of the food holidays, Thanksgiving. We will be enjoying recipes from the book, Hometown Cooking in New England: From stews and chowders to cobblers and pies: The best traditional recipes from Yankee community cookbook compiled by Sandra Taylor. As always, first time guests do not need to cook. Just come and enjoy! Please call the library to reserve a seat at the table.

Wednesday Knitting & Crocheting Group
Have you been knitting for a while but want to spend time with other crafters? Do you have a project which has been waiting for you to “get around to it?” Join the Knovel Knitters in the Reference Room for an evening of knitting & crocheting every Wednesday night from 6:00 pm until 7:45 pm.

Art Show
The Bancroft Memorial Library is once again partnering with the Hopedale Memorial School to display students’ artwork each month in the Program Room. Be sure to stop by and admire their work! This month will feature the work of fourth and fifth graders from the school. A reception for the students and their families will take place on Monday, November 18th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
