Natick residents are invited to Clean Your Attic (CYA) Day on Saturday, May 6, 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, in the Natick High School parking lot. Non residents and small businesses are also welcome. The 9th annual CYA Day is sponsored by the Natick Sustainability Committee and the Natick High School Computer Club.
Document Shredding. Did you know that identify theft is more prevalent offline than online? The reason is that we are still throwing away or recycling sensitive documents without shredding them first. Let Doc Shredding securely shred them for you. Do you have a small business and need to clean out your files but have been putting it off? Go ahead and clean them out! You’re welcome at CYA Day. There are small fees associated with shredding.
Bikes and Other Metal Items. What about the shed, filled to the brim with old bikes and other metal items? We have a solution for that, too. Bikes Not Bombs (BNB) will be at CYA Day again this year. BNB’s mission is to “use the bicycle as a tool to foster young people’s leadership, development, and sense of individual and collective power to transform their own lives.” A small donation is requested. In addition, Natick DPW will collect miscellaneous metal free on CYA Day.
Recycle Electronics, Eye Glasses. Recycle electronics, computers, TV’s, printers, copiers, dehumidifiers, AC’s, microwaves, and small appliances. The NHS BPA club will be on hand to collect all those items for a small fee. The Natick Lions Club will collect eye glasses and cell phones. And as for the rest of the stuff in your house, Big Brothers, Big Sisters and More Than Words will be on hand to collect household items, clothing, shoes, books, CD’s, DVD’s, video games and more.
