From Farm to Table

This summer, Tuesday night dinners can come straight from the market...the Norwood Farmer's Market that is! In just one trip, local residents can pick up an entire dinner, from the main course, to vegetables, bread, and even dessert! The 2018 Farmer's Market is offering new vendors and crafters eager to share their food and goods, grown and created locally, making this event one of the best seasonal destinations in the area.
"There will be entertainment, kid's activities, local artists, local students performing, a ukulele group, special events, a monthly chef's table, and local Norwood organizations on the town lawn," Downtown Business Manager for the Friends of Norwood Center Kim Weineck said.
The Norwood Farmer's Market will be open every Tuesday, from June 12 to October 16, 12 noon-5:30 p.m., on the Norwood Town Common. The choices continue to nurture shoppers' desire for the ultimate selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade products, ranging from seafood, bread, jams, baked goods, pasta, gourmet cheese, coffee, pastries, soaps and lotions, and much, much more. This year's confirmed vendors: Jordan's Seafood, Captivating Twists (baked goods), City Compost, Angry Honey, Oakdale Farms, Darby by Design, Valicenti Pasta Farm, Bruin Corporation, Gracie's Gunnies (artisan), Little Treasures by Jane (artisan), Riverside Community Care, Thistle and Bone (florist), Norwood Hospital, Together Yes, Band Gig, the Unlikely Strummers, Impact Norwood (non-profit), Victoria Moreno-Jackson (artisan), and a Downtown Table highlighting Norwood business, events, etc.
"We are elated to have the farmer's market downtown," Weineck said. "Spending locally has a local multiplier effect. Your dollars matter more than buying at a chain store."

Again this year, the Market will offer a community information table for local businesses to distribute promotional materials, menus or flyers, a Business of the Week table and a table for local non-profit organizations to share information with the public.
