Food, Fun and Fundraising, Round Two

Encompass Fitness will host the Second Annual Taste of Millis, that will take place on
Saturday, April 28, from 6:30-9 p.m. at 27 Milliston Road, in Millis. The event, which will benefit the Millis Educational Resources Initiative Team as well as the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, will feature food samples from food purveyors all around town, paired up with wine, beer and cider. Admission for the 21+ event is just $20 per person. The event is sponsored by the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce and its MetroWest Members-in-Motion Referral Group.
Last year’s event, the first “taste of” event in any of the Milford-Area Chamber of Commerce’s 10 communities according to Kelley Brown, of the Chamber, was a big success. The event was born out of a local networking group that takes place at Encompass Fitness. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit M.E.R.I.T., the Millis Educational Resources Initiative Team, which funds grants for innovative programs in Millis Public Schools. Food purveyors in the area donate samples for the attendees as well as a gift certificate MERIT can use to raffle off as a fundraiser. The night will also include musical entertainment.
