The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School in Franklin, MA is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2017-2018 school year. BFCCPS is a regional public school for students in Kindergarten through Grade Eight.
Our school mission is based on supporting our parents as the Primary Educators of their children, infusing Character Education into our daily curriculum, and encouraging students to plan, implement and participate in Community Service activities.
Central to our commitment to the education of the whole child, BFCCPS offers strong programs in the visual and performing arts as well as foreign languages. Our students are offered rich, meaningful technological experiences within their classroom, all while offering a vigorous Classical Education Curriculum.
Academic Support including homework club and lunchtime tutoring is available. For additional information provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for English Language Learners and students with disabilities in public charter schools, please read our official Right to Attend Notice that is posted on our site.
Access to a regional transportation program is available to all students. Stops are currently available in Bellingham, Medway, Milford, Norfolk, Plainville, Walpole and Wrentham.
Applications for enrollment must be submitted each year for each child for whom the family is seeking enrollment. Please use one application form per child. Attendance at an Information Session is suggested but not mandatory.
The deadline for submitting applications is 4 p.m., February 14, 2017. Applications can be completed and submitted online by going to www.bfccps.org/enrollment. Hard copies of applications are accepted through the mail with a U.S. postmark or can be hand-delivered to the school office. Send all applications to: The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School, Attn: Enrollment, 201 Main Street, Franklin, MA 02038. Faxes and e-mails for completed applications will not be accepted.
We are a public school, but our enrollment of new students is dictated by the space available in each grade. If more applications are received than spaces available, a lottery will be held on February 28th at 1 p.m. Siblings of students who attend the school at the time an offer of admission is made are given preference for admission over non-siblings. Residents of the city/town(s) served by BFCCPS are given preference for admission over non-resident students.
Applications can be completed online here, are available in the Main Office at 201 Main Street in Franklin and at the local public libraries in our region.
