Hopedale High presented Shrek The Musical

On March 17th and 18th, the Hopedale High School Drama Club presented “Shrek The Musical”, based on the Dreamworks Animation Motion Picture and William Steig’s book. Directed by Alex Wersted, this musical followed the journey of Shrek (Lucas Machado) and Donkey (Bella Baci). In the familiar story Shrek aspired to reclaim his home from Lord Farquaad (Collin Smith) by striking a deal to rescue Princess Fiona (Carissa Turenne).
The cast of this legendary tale about friendship and love greeted audiences with an outstanding performance, enhanced by professionally designed props and costumes. From the opening act to the closing song “I’m a Believer,” laughs and music made for a memorable performance. Producer Chris Chatham shared, “The cast and crew of Shrek had an amazing performance and a blast over the last three months putting the show together”.
