The Joseph Warren Medal was Conferred upon Edward Iacovelli at the Montgomery Lodge

On the 6th of April at the regular communication of Montgomery Lodge, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, the Joseph Warren medal for distinguished service was conferred upon Edward M. Iacovelli of Hopedale, MA.
Brother Pat Emery of Westboro, MA, District Deputy to the Grand Master of Massachusetts, had the honor of presenting the award to Brother Iacovelli, in recognition of his exemplary and distinguished service to the Fraternity, the surrounding communities, and to his church. Several friends and Family members of Brother Iacovelli were also in attendance for this very special presentation
The Distinguished Service Medal is named for Dr. Joseph Warren (June 11, 1741 – June 17, 1775), a Freemason who played a crucial role in several aspects of the revolutionary war, including Paul Revere’s Ride and the battle at Bunker Hill. Although commissioned as a General shortly before the Battle of Bunker Hill, Dr. Warren served in the battle as a private on the front lines of Breed’s hill, ultimately giving his life for his country.
Montgomery Lodge is one of the country’s oldest Masonic Lodges, chartered by Most Worshipful Paul Revere in 1797, with a prestigious membership including local names of Thayer, Eastman, Claflin, Draper, and Stacey. Congratulations to Brother Iacovelli on this most esteemed award, and a sincere thanks to his many years of service to Freemasonry.
