Keefe Regional Technical School is pleased to announce the top members and award winners of the Class of 2017.
The Class of 2017 Valedictorian is Simone Avery McHugh (Programming and Web Design) of Framingham. McHugh will attend Framingham State University and plans to major in Computer Science. The Class of 2017 Salutatorian is Makayla Hicks (Programming and Web Design) of Ashland, who plans to attend Fitchburg State University to study Game Design.
Keefe Tech National Honor Society President Brian Burns (Carpentry) of Framingham will attend Wentworth Institute of Technology to study Civil Engineering. According to Burns, “The greatest benefit I have received from Keefe Tech has been the ability to adapt to a new and unfamiliar world, and become as successful as I possibly can in that world. Keefe has given me the tools and skills I need to create and maintain a successful future, and to become an important member of our society.”
Keefe Tech Senior Class President Katelin Copithorne (Health Careers) of Framingham plans to major in Nursing at Anna Maria College in the fall.
The Principal’s Award was presented to Hudson Bickford (Carpentry) of Holliston, who will attend Mass Maritime Academy. “Attending Keefe Technical School has benefitted me most by showing me how to be professional on and off the job site,” noted Bickford.
The Student Athlete Award was given to Leidy Maldonado (Landscape and Design) of Framingham, who plans to study Photography at Mass Bay Community College. The Vocational Leadership Award was given to Daniel Vazquez (Information Technology) of Framingham, who will attend Framingham State University to major in Information Systems.

Recipients of the Class of 2017 Career and Technical Excellence Award are: Rosa Contreas (Electrical) of Framingham, attending Mass Bay Community College, Engineering Major; Katelin Copithorne (Health Careers) of Framingham, attending Anna Maria College, Nursing Major; Andrew Hancock (Programming and Web Design) of Holliston, attending UMass Amherst, Computer Science Major; Ryan Paradie (Information Technology) of Holliston, attending Roger Williams University, Computer Science Major; Daniel Vazquez (Information Technology) of Framingham, attending Framingham State University, Information Systems Major.
