The Medway Foundation for Education’s (MFE) 2nd annual all ages dodgeball tournament fundraiser on Saturday, March 18th “Dodging 4 Schools” was a huge success. Forty teams played their best dodge ball to claim medals for first and second place and bragging rights. Prizes were awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners and best team costumes in each division. All of the money raised goes to benefit the school children of Medway through a grant process.
Close to 1,000 people participated, volunteered and watched from the stands.
Teams coming from as far as Boston, Cambridge and Rhode Island played against Medway community teams making for some great matches. Grades K-12 and the adult division were well represented with team costumes and names such as the Memorial Minions, Pink Fluffy Unicorns, Oscillation Sloths, If Brady Played Dodgeball and The Big Cajones.
My FM Radio was on hand to broadcast their Saturday morning program; My FM Sports Live with Matt Romeling and Tim Couette.“ We were pleased to be able to participate in this great event to benefit the Medway Foundation for Education. It’s a great idea to bring the community together for a fun day of dodgeball and friendly competition,” said station owner Tom McAuliffe.
