The annual Natick Garden Club Plant Auction and Sale will be held at the Natick Community-Senior Center, 117 East Central St. (Route 135), on Saturday, June 3, 1 to 4 p.m., or until the plants are gone. There will also be a sidewalk plant and yard art sale from 12 to 1 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
This afternoon features brisk bidding for plants that have been proven to grow successfully in our sometimes challenging weather conditions. Most of the plants are perennials from our members’ gardens, and are labeled for bloom time and season, height, spacing, and sun and moisture requirements. There will also be annuals and some vegetable and herb seedlings. Compared to plant retailers, the prices are a bargain. This is an easy way to start or enhance your own garden for years of summer enjoyment.
There will be door prizes during the afternoon. In years past, these have included large hanging baskets, small rose bushes, specimen plants, gardening hand tools and hand care items. Please come, enjoy the fun, meet a friendly group of garden enthusiasts, and help us raise funds for our next year’s programs. For more information, visit www.natickgardenclub.org.
