Make a difference. That is the opportunity available for Norwood residents who seek to run in the 2020 Annual Town Election, which will be held on Monday, April 6. While the voting booths are still tucked away for a few months, interested parties must commit in February to run. Nomination papers for municipal positions that will be decided in the April 1 Town election.
Norwood residents need to draw nomination papers from the Town Clerkâs office in Town Hall, third floor, and obtain at least 50 registered Norwood voters to sign the form in their support (the Town Clerk recommends obtaining additional signatures as some supporters may not be registered voters). Completed nomination papers are due by February 18. Candidates must also fill out a Campaign Finance Report, which can be downloaded at www.norwoodma.gov/departments/townclerk.
There are plenty of positions to choose from that are up for the April vote.
