Issue Date:
April, 2016
Article Body:

The Norfolk Grange, in partnership with Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, invites Norfolk residents to celebrate Earth Day by participating in Norfolk’s 7th annual Clean and Green event, a town-wide cleanup set for Sunday, May 1. Town youth are especially encouraged to attend.
Participants will pick up litter and recyclables along roadways and public places in town, and then deliver the separately-bagged trash and recylables to Stony Brook between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. for disposal/recycling.
Earth Day celebrations will continue at Stony Brook all afternoon with volunteer recognition certificates, demonstrations, children’s nature-themed games and crafts, tree-planting, and much more. Finish off the day with a special guided twilight walk around the wildlife sanctuary. The events are all free.
Participants are asked to visit the Clean and Green section of Norfolk Grange’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/norfolkgrange135 for important information about the event.
Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 108 North St., Norfolk.
