Cancer: Thriving and Surviving: free six-week workshop for Cancer survivors, their family members, friends and caregivers are ideal participants. This evidence-based program promotes the empowerment of people with cancer to take control of their health and to improve the quality of their lives.
The workshop is given 2½ hours once a week for six weeks from Wednesday, October 24th to November 28th – 12 to 2:30 p.m. Each participant will also receive a companion book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions, and a relaxation CD. To register please call Maureen at (508) 376-7051

Grief Support Group: Friday, October 5th, 10:30 a.m.: Six week support group can offer people who are grieving a supportive environment in which to work through some of their grief. 
Meditation: is the process of gently focusing our attention inwardly. By practicing meditation, it allows us to live more presently, with a deeper focus and awareness in the present moment. We live in a society that many people live reactively and we are experiencing a great of stress. Stress is the root causes of many illnesses. Some of the benefits of meditation include a greater sense of awareness, focus, balance, and creativity. On Friday, October 5th at 10 a.m. we will be offering a free trial class for anyone interested. Classes will continue from Friday, October 12th—Friday, November 23rd for a fee of $3 per class. 
Senior Photo Identification Card: The Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office will be here on Wednesday, October 24th from 11:30-12:30 to supply seniors with a secondary form of identification, free of charge.
In order to receive this FREE photo ID, seniors will need to provide one of the following:  A valid Mass Driver’s License, A valid US Passport,  A valid Mass RMV Photo ID. For more information, please contact us at 376-7051

Medicare Open Enrollment: We will have a SHINE worker here at the Center on Monday, October 15th, 22nd and the 29th from 9-1. Appointments are necessary.
Tasty Tuesday: We will be serving pizza and salad on odd numbered days and cold cut platters on even numbered days every Tuesday for month of October. Please call the Center to make reservations the Monday before the luncheon with payment of $3.  
Karaoke with Lyn and Bill: Warm up those vocal chords and come by and sing with Bill and Lyn every Monday at 10:30 in room 18. Transportation is available. Come on down!

Blood Pressure Clinic: Volunteer Nurses provide blood pressure checks every Wednesday from 11-12. 2nd Wednesday of the month the Public Health Nurse will be available to answer any concerns or questions.
Computer Tutoring: Bob Bryant is here every Tuesday from 10-12 for your one on one computer tutoring. Appointments are required.
