Next, the group presented three major donations to Habitat for Humanity ($2,000), the Senior Center ($5,000), and to the Holliston Pantry Shelf ($5,000). The Knights of Columbus Council #14224 also plans additional donations to the food pantries in Ashland, Medway, Millis, Bellingham, and Milford, towns in which they held group ticket sales and received support.
The Knights of Columbus also plans to present donation checks to two veterans’ groups, Homes for Our Troops and IPods for Wounded Veterans, at the town’s annual Veterans Day luncheon in November, as well as smaller donations to be made throughout the year to other organizations and causes.
The chairs for this year were Grand Knight Al Scaramella, Bill Heuer, Aaron Pyman, and Tom Anguish.  The plan is for Tom to mc the agenda, with Aaron Pyman presenting the donation to Habit for Humanity, Bill Heuer presenting the donation to the Senior Support Foundation, and Al Scaramella presenting to the Pantry Shelf.  Our council brothers went all out this year and put in over 1,200 hours of their time to sell and administer the tickets necessary for this achievement.
