Thank you to EVERYONE for your warm and enthusiastic response to our 4th of July Parade! It was a great event thanks to all the runners, antique cars, fire trucks, Grand Marshall Joe Landry and the Natick Little League contingent, “Best in Parade Float” winner Ben Hem School, bands, musical groups and dancers, community organizations and everyone else that participated, and yes even Mother Nature.
Thank you to all the contestants in the Natick’s VOICE Competition and sponsor MutualOne Bank and congratulations to Abigail Beard and Daurianne Marshall, winner and runner-up respectively. They have tremendous voices and “wowed” not only our judges but also everyone in downtown before the start of the parade. Congratulations to all our “Kids Parade” winners and to everyone who entered.
Thank you to the expertise and professionalism of the heads of the 8 committees who took responsibility to make sure their “piece” worked flawlessly. Thank you for the advice and guidance of everyone in the Town of Natick from the Board of Selectmen, Natick Police and Fire Departments to the DPW, Recreation and Parks Department as well as the Natick Public Schools who allowed us to use Wilson Middle School as the staging area. Thank you also to Natick Pegasus for covering our events. The “whole” 2017 July 4th celebration went off without a hitch because of you all.
The Friends of the Fourth is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization. We do not receive any financial support from the town and instead rely on donations. Thank you to all our “donors” and “corporate sponsors,” without your support, the events would not have happened.
