The Friends of the Ashland Library announced they will extend the hours for their Saturday, March 7 book sale. The hours were 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; they will now be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in the past, cupcakes will be available for sale. A $5 per bag sale will be held before closing, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
The members’ preview sale is Friday, March 6, 6 to 8 p.m. Anyone can join the Friends online, friendsoftheapl.org/become-a-friend, or at the preview sale.
“If the extended hours work out, we will extend the hours for all our sales,” Jan Poppendieck, co-chair of the book sale, said.
“Ashland residents are such avid readers and so generous with book donations, that our book sales always have a fresh selection of great fiction and non-fiction materials,” Poppendieck added. “The March sale will have an outstanding selection of current trade paperbacks, plenty of books on history, politics, religion and sports, nature and travel guides, and delectable cookbooks, and an impressive collection of children’s books for babies through teens. In particular, we were fortunate to receive very generous donations of children’s chapter books, so there will be plenty to browse.”

June 13
(members’ preview: June 12)
September 26
(members’ preview: 25)
December 5
(members’ preview:
