The Holliston Pantry Shelf SOUPer Bowl 20 will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Christ The King Lutheran Church, located at 600 Central Street in Holliston. Holliston residents and those of surrounding communities are encouraged to gather together to attend the event and enjoy delicious soups donated by local businesses. The SOUPer Bowl is in its 13th year and is the single largest fundraising event for the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
“We are so grateful to the wonderful citizens that attend this event and support our Pantry in our largest fundraiser,” said Keely Krantz, President of Holliston Pantry Shelf. “This SOUPer Bowl will provide an opportunity for attendees to enjoy a delicious meal along with other members of our generous community.”
The SOUPer Bowl dinner features gourmet soups donated by local businesses. Fresh breads, beverages and homemade desserts are also included in the meal. Guests will also have a chance to win exciting prizes in a drawing that features goods and services donated by local businesses and individuals. Included in the ticket price is a reusable mug to take home.
Tickets are being sold at Coffee Haven, Holliston Superette and Town Clerk's Office. Adults 12 and older are $15, Seniors 65+ and children 6 to 11 are $10, and admission is free for children up to 5 years.
The Holliston Pantry Shelf serves close to 200 families in town, and is entirely operated and staffed by volunteers in the community. Any resident of Holliston may go to the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall to obtain a Panty ID card, which entitles them to shop weekly at the Pantry. Shopper’s identities are kept strictly confidential.
The Holliston Pantry Shelf is located at 73 Charles Street. Donations are always welcome. Pantry Hours are Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and evening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 7:30 p.m. If the Pantry is closed, donations can be placed in the large box directly outside the Pantry entrance.
