Wrentham Town Administrator Reappointed to Local Government Advisory Post

Kevin Sweet, Wrentham’s town administrator, has been reappointed to a third term on the state’s Local Government Advisory Commission (LGAC). He was sworn in on February 11.
Established by Gov. Dukakis in 1976, the LGAC meets monthly with the governor, lieutenant governor and state legislative leaders at the Statehouse, advocating on behalf of issues facing Massachusetts cities and towns.
In its promotion of formal dialogue and communication between state and local government, the LGAC is considered a success story both locally and nationally.
Sweet also serves as an Elected Director on the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) Board of Directors and is the District 5 Representative on the Massachusetts Municipal Management Association Executive Committee.
Town Administrator Sweet has a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in financial management from Norwich University, as well as a master’s of science degree from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Sweet was the town administrator in Maynard for nine years before coming to Wrentham in 2018.
