Thirty-eight Ashland High School (AHS) students participated in a service trip in November to Give Kids the World Village in Florida, where kids with terminal and life-threatening illness have their “wishes” granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The students and seven adults volunteered at Give Kids the World Village over several days. Every year the AHS A Make-A-Wish Club raises several thousand dollars to grant experiences, or “wishes.” The student president of the AHS Make-A-Wish Club is Adam Skiba and the AHS advisor is Jennifer Pavia Shiels.
