Come Out and Vote! Norwood town election will be held April 4

The Town of Norwood will be holding its Town Election on Monday, April 4. There are many residents who are throwing their hat in the ring for an endorsement to serve the town in many municipal areas. 
Seven seats will be uncontested. The most competitive race will be for two of the three-year Selectmen seats. Selectmen Mike Lyons is not seeking re-election and 15-year incumbent Helen Abdallah Donohue will be running against four challengers for her position on the board.
School Committee member Courtney A. Rau-Rogers will be defending her three-year seat against two candidates and Finance Commission incumbent Alan Slater will face off against Anne Marie Haley.

For residents who have not yet registered to vote, there is still time. The deadline to participate in the Town Election is Tuesday, March 15. Visit the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall for more information.
To learn about the candidates, their backgrounds and platforms, the Norwood League of Women Voters will be holding a Candidates Night on Monday, March 21, 7:30 p.m., at the Norwood Town Hall, Memorial Hall. 
Poles will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
