Local Artists Win Awards in Art Competition

Premier Image Gallery, Ashland, is holding its twenty eighth celebration art exhibit and competition featuring thirty local artists. The exhibit is on display thru May 18, 2017.
Ashland winners: First place in oils and acrylics went to SPRINGTIME BANDITS by Barney Levitt and third place went to WATER’S EARLY MORNNG GLOW by Dyrick Schaefer. Second place in the photography, cloth art and pen & ink category was TIGER by Tobi Hoffman. Honorable mentions in oils were FIELD OF DREAMS by Kate Messina and NIGHT PUMPKINS by Elizabeth Hurley.
The exhibit is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free. Premier Image Gallery, Ledgemere Plaza, 290 Eliot Street, Ashland.
Calling all Photographers
Premier Image Gallery, 290 Eliot Street, Ledgemere Plaza, Ashland is pleased to announce a special photography exhibit to be held May 18 through July 21, 2017 Over eighty pieces of photography, including digital manipulations are expected to be on display, all by local artists. Drop off dates are May 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All artists, regardless of age or expertise may submit three pieces. The works selected must be for sale and will remain on exhibit through the duration of the show. All artwork must be properly framed and wired for hanging. This exhibit opens the door for the budding photographer and gives them the opportunity to display their works in a gallery atmosphere where they will be viewed and appreciated by the public.
Premier Image Gallery offers discounts on framing. There is a $5 entry fee per artwork. An open house will be held Thursday, June 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All artists are encouraged to come to the open house and the public is invited to view the exhibit and meet the artists. The Gallery is open for viewing Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For additional information call 508-881-4730.
