The Massachusetts Bay Community College is pleased to announce that student athlete and Natick resident Kameron Jimenez-Fox was named to the National Junior College Athletic Associations (NJCAA) 2016-2017 All-American Men’s Basketball Team. Jimenez-Fox was the only MassBay student selected to play in the National All-Star game in Las Vegas this past April.
“It has been a great pleasure to coach Kam over the past two years,” MassBay Director of Athletics and Head Basketball Coach Bill Raynor said. “He has clearly distinguished himself during that time being named 1st team All-American and becoming the all-time leading scorer in MassBay history. The best part is that he is a better person than a basketball player.”
Jimenez-Fox is a 6-foot, 5-inch Guard on the Buccaneers and has scored more than 1,000 points in his two years on the team. He is a Liberal Arts major and graduated in May with plans to pursue a bachelor degree at a four-year college or university.
“It is an honor to play in the National All-Star game and be named to the 1st team All-American,” Jimenez-Fox said. “This has always been a dream to be one of the top players in the country. Being part of this team is God’s way of blessing me and I’m grateful for that and to everyone who has helped me along the way including my mother, my family and the coaching staff a MassBay for always being there.”
In March 2017, Jimenez-Fox was part of the MassBay Buccaneers team that captured the 2017 NJCAA Regional XXI Championship title and placed 5th at the NJCAA National Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota.
