This summer, Tuesday's dinner can be fresh, delicious, and effortless! In just one trip, local residents can pick up an entire dinner at the Norwood Farmer's Market, from the main course, to vegetables, bread, and even dessert! The 2017 Farmer's Market continues to grow and flourish and attract a variety of vendors and crafters eager to share their food and goods, grown and created locally making this event one of the best seasonal destinations in the area!
"I visit many markets and things I like I try to take to the next level," Norwood Farmer's Market Manager Laurie Shea said.
The Norwood Farmer's Market will be open every Tuesday, from June 13 to October 3, 12 noon-5:30 p.m., on the Norwood Town Common. The choices continue to nurture shoppers' desire for the ultimate selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade products, ranging from seafood, bread, jams, baked goods, pasta, gourmet cheese, coffee, pastries, soaps and lotions, and much, much more. This year's vendors include: Oakdale Farm (vegetables, jams, pickles, honey, eggs, relishes, etc.); Wardsberry Farm (vegetables, baked goods pasta sauce, etc.); Freitas Farm (vegetables); Jordan Bros. (seafood- fresh fish); Pastry Boutique (scones, cookies brownies, blueberry pudding cake, etc.); Noble Originals (soaps, lotions, etc.); Fraulein's Bakery (German pastry); Amengo (coffee and tea, cookies, and dog treats);
The Norwood Farmer's Market will also offer many unique crafters: Gracie's Gunnies (handmade one of a kind bags cross body, shoulder, totes, backpacks, etc.); Little Treasures by Jane (hand-crafted jewelry); Hidden Hearts (items made from tree bark).
Shea is always looking for vendors and crafters to join the local marketplace. For more information, contact Shea at laurie@norwoodfarmersmarket.com.
A special thanks to Blue Hills Bank who is again generously sponsoring the Norwood Farmer's Market. The bank's continued community commitment goes into funding for music, advertising, supplies, special market events and keeping vendor costs low.
"There would be no market without the banks support, Shea gratefully said.
Again this year, the Market will offer a community information table for local businesses to distribute promotional materials, menus or flyers, a Business of the Week table and a table for local non-profit organizations to share information with the public. Applications can be found on the Norwood Farmer's Market website at www.norwoodfarmersmarket.com, or for more information, contact Shea at laurie@norwoodfarmersmarket.com.
