Board of Health Presents Health Topics : Adult Vaccines- What You Need, When You Need It   on Wednesday, September 13th at 11 a.m. in room 18 of the Senior Center. The public health nurse, Karen D’Angelo, will advise on vaccines such as Flu, Shingles, TDAP and Pneumococcal so that you can keep up to date on these important measures to prevent illness. 
Colorado River Whitewater Rafting Trip: Come travel with us on a white water rafting trip along the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. Janice and Bob McCoy will share their experience through a multi-media presentation of their 8-day, 225-mile rafting adventure from Lees Ferry to Diamond Creek, one of the longest whitewater rafting trip in a motorized raft on the Colorado River. On this excursion, you will raft world-class whitewater, camp under the stars on sandy Grand Canyon beaches, explore winding side canyons trails and waterfalls, and view ancient ruins. Let’s live vicariously through Janet and Bob on Tuesday, September 19th at 11 a.m. Reservations not necessary but appreciated.  
Tasty Tuesday: When we eat alone, we usually don’t eat as well as we would with a partner. Come to your Senior Center and enjoy a meal with lots of friends. The Friends of Millis Council on Aging are sponsoring a sandwich luncheon every Tuesday this month. Please stop in. Sandwiches from Roche Brothers will be served along with some tasty side dishes and fabulous luncheon companions. All you need to do is call the Center and book a reservation with payment of $3 by the Friday before your visit. See you here! 
Senior Photo Identification Card: This program will supply seniors with a secondary form of identification, free of charge, from the Norfolk County Sheriffs Office in conjunction with the Millis COA. Seniors interested in this program should come to the Millis Council on Aging on Wednesday, September 13th between the hours of 11 a.m and 12 p.m. in order to receive this FREE photo ID, seniors will need to provide one of the following: • A valid Mass Driver’s License • A valid US Passport • A valid Mass RMV Photo ID
Millis Supportive Day: Are you concerned for the wellbeing of your loved one? Are you providing care for, or worrying about the isolation of an elderly friend or family member? If so, would a rest from full time care giving help you be an even better caregiver? If you said yes to any of these questions, the Millis Supportive Day Program can offer a program that will help you both be at your best. Please contact Patty at 376-7051.
BJs Discounted Memberships: If you have used the discounted membership last year you must go to BJs to renew it. If you have not applied with us in the past, please come down to the Center and we will give you a form letter that you can bring to BJs for the discounted membership.
The SHINE Program (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone): This state health insurance assistance program is provided to Massachusetts residents of any age who have Medicare free health insurance information, counseling and assistance to Massachusetts residents and their caregivers with Medicare.  Mary will be here Monday, September 28th from 9-1. Appointments are necessary.   
Computer Tutoring on Demand: Bob Bryant is taking reservations to assist with all levels of computer tutoring on Thursdays from 10-12. Please call the Center at 376-7051 to schedule an appointment with Bob.
Bingo: Every Wednesday from 12:15 to 2:15. Transportation is available. Super bingo is held on the last Wednesday of the month. The last game is worth $25.
