How the Grinch Almost Stole Christmas
On December 14, an alert Norwood citizen called Norwood Police and stated they saw someone appear to steal a package from the doorstep of their neighbor's house. They were able to get a physical description of the suspect and the vehicle, as well as a plate number. A depiction of the suspect, as well as his vehicle, was broadcast to the day shift, and a short time later, Officer Hoyle was able to locate an individual matching the description of this suspect. A subsequent investigation revealed several packages in the vehicle that were not his. This suspect was placed under arrest and transported to NPD. Officers then got consent to search his residence, and uncovered yet again, more stolen packages. A few of Norwood officers piled up their black and white sleighs and returned some of the stolen property to the good people of Norwood.
A big Norwood Shout Out to the alert neighbor as they surely made a Happy Holiday for some local families.
