Join us on Sunday, April 29 for Ashland’s second annual Color Splash Run! Participants of this road race will be doused with colored powder by volunteers at each of the Color Stops, and by the end of the race everyone will be looking like rainbows. It’s a great opportunity to let loose, have fun, and get messy!
The event is being hosted beginning at 10 a.m. at the Ashland High School, where the two-mile course will remain, along with a smaller Kids’ Color Splash Run that will take place on the track. There will also be games, raffles, and an assortment of fun activities after the end of the race for the whole family.
Ashland High School’s Student Council, the Ashland K-12 PTO, and the AHS Make-A-Wish Club are teaming up to provide fun for the whole community. Proceeds will be shared between the PTO, to support enrichment programs for all students in Ashland Public Schools, and the AHS Make-A-Wish Club which raises money for Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island to assist in granting wishes to children battling critical illness. The AHS Make-A-Wish club is hoping to grant its third Wish by the end of this school year.
Registration is $25 for the Color Splash Run and $15 for the Kids’ Color Splash Run, with a discounted price of $35 for a participant who chooses to run both races. All participants who register by April 13 will receive a race t-shirt. Registration will also be available at 9 a.m. on the day of the race, but t-shirts will only be for sale for $8 while supplies last. Visit the AHS Student Council website at https://sites.google.com/site/stucoashland/color-splash-run to find a link to online registration.
Sponsorship opportunities are available as well, so if you are a local business owner who is interested in supporting this event, please contact Josh Wiczer (jwiczer@ashland.k12.ma.us) or Jennifer Pavia-Shiels (jpaviashiels@ashlandf.k12.ma.us). Sponsors with donations valued at $100 or more will have the opportunity to have their logo included on the back of the race t-shirt.
We’d love your support, and we hope to see you there!
