On Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:16 a.m., Special Police Officer Richard Malo of the Medway Police Department was struck by a vehicle while working a road construction detail on Main St. (Route 109) at the intersection on Mechanic St. in Medway. The vehicle involved was operated by Jerome Guthro, 71 of Medway. Mr. Guthro remained at the scene and is cooperating with Officers.
Officer Malo, a retired Lieutenant with the Medway Police, was transported to Milford Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Medway Police Department.
